Bad news, but not that bad
I have been absent from this blog for quite awhile and nothing positive has occurred with MRWAIN railway.
The reason being we are moving house and have been thinking about it for awhile now.
I will be commencing demolition of the layout shortly but all is not lost.
At this stage our new house will have what can only be described as a substantial garage measuring 6m x 13m in size and will be quite high. Non metric that equals approx. 19 feet x 43 feet.
Now, the interesting thing will be a mezzanine level at the rear of the garage, exact size unknown at this time which will be the home of the new MRWAIN railway.
I have spent considerable time and effort in building the model railway up to this point but as a famous Australian bush ranger, Ned Kelly once said just prior to his hanging in Melbourne jail…..such is life.
I have never built a model railway before and sure I have made mistakes and have learnt from them, so the new MRWAIN will not be bigger, in fact it will be smaller, but certainly better.
Hang in there, it will be worth it.
Below is something similar to what I have in mind to keep the layout out of harms way.
